The Hamilton College Continentals ended their season with a 78-33 loss against the nationally ranked No. 8 Amherst College Jeffs in the quarterfinals of the 2014 NESCAC Women's Basketball Championship at Amherst's LeFrak Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon.

The second-seeded Jeffs (23-2) closed the first half on a 14-2 run, turning a five-point lead into a 32-15 cushion at the break. Amherst -- winners of 98 straight at home -- then scored 16 of the first 18 points after halftime to take control.

Dani Feigin '14 led the No. 7 seed Continentals with nine points and three steals. Adrianna Pulford ’15 contributed six points and six rebounds and Samantha Graber ’16 finished with six points. Olivia Pimm '14 pulled down eight rebounds to lead all players and added three steals.

Ali Doswell '17 scored a game-high 15 points and Hannah Peterson '17 added 14. Jamie Renner '17 and Meredith Doswell '17 scored 13 and 12, respectively. Amherst shot 57.1 percent from the floor, including 73.9 percent (17-23) in the second half, while holding the Continentals to 22.9 percent overall.

Hamilton (11-13) scored the first four points and held a 6-3 lead six minutes into the opening half before Amherst took over.
