Students in Hamilton’s Program in New York City took the “Big Onion” labor history tour of Greenwich Village and the East Village on Feb. 26. They explored sites that were important to the city’s labor history, including the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory building and Cooper Union.

This semester, the program is directed by Maurice Isserman, the Publius Virgilius Rogers Professor of American History. The theme for the semester is labor, immigration and reform in New York history.
