Ten Hamilton students designed outfits to compete in the second annual Trashion Show, organized by the Recycling Task Force, on March 2.  They pieced together garbage and recyclable items for their models to sport on the runway in front of the judges, four members of the Task Force.

McKenzie Foster ’14 took home first place in a pair of high-waisted shorts crafted from a garbage bag and a rose petal top and headpiece.  She designed and modeled the outfit, which she called “American Beauty.”  Second place was awarded to Ali Crivelli ’14, whose ensemble, “Eggcellence,” consisted of an egg carton top and a skirt made of several grocery bags.

Host Gabriel Rivas ‘16 provided some recycling and waste statistics between the modeling.  The Trashion Show served as a reminder of the ways we can reduce and reuse – some more creative than others.
