According to Portada, Gardner “works with Argentine and international ventures on shaping their content, branding and marketing strategies to position them for success in global markets.”

Gretchen Gardner's passion for traveling, culture and language led her to move to Argentina after graduation, where she identified an untapped market after immersing herself in the local and regional business communities. She has worked in a wide array of industries like telecommunications, oil and gas, gastronomy, medical services, high-technology startups and government agencies, and is also a contributor to Portada, which according to its website is “the leading source of news and analysis on the Latin Marketing and Media space.” She recently wrote an article titled “Behind the Scenes of Hispanic Political Media Planning” in which she looked at American presidential campaigns’ increasing interest in targeting US-Hispanic voters.

During Gretchen Gardner’s time at Hamilton College, she was a double major in Hispanic Studies and History, a teaching assistant in the Department of Hispanic Studies, a member of the sorority Phi Beta Chi, and a volunteer at the Career Center. She received a master's degree in international relations from the Argentine university Universidad Torcuato Di Tella.
