Karen Bussolini

The Hamilton College Arboretum’s 2018-19 Saturday Speaker series presents garden photographer Karen Bussolini, on Saturday, April 6, at 10 a.m., in the Kennedy Auditorium. She will discuss “Jazzing Up the Garden with Color, Contrast, and Movement.” The lecture is free and open to the public.

During the lecture, Bussolini will explain how gardeners can use different combinations of color, repetition, texture, and light-reflecting techniques to liven up their gardens. Her low-stress method can be used by anyone to create a beautiful garden.

She was the sole photographer for books like The Naturescaping Workbook: How to Create a Garden with Nature as Your Guide (2011), The Homeowner’s Complete Tree and Shrub Manual (2007), and A Country Garden for Your Backyard (1993).

Parking is available near the building. All Arboretum events are free and open to the public, and everyone interested in gardens and landscapes is encourage to attend. Pre-registration is not required.
