Dan Chambliss, the Eugene M. Tobin Distinguished Professor of Sociology Emeritus, recently discussed “Agency/Responsibility” in Bard College’s “Five Disruptive Principles in the Liberal Arts” series exploring core values that define an exceptional liberal arts education. The online panel discussion was the first event in a series of five featuring discussions by innovative thought leaders sharing their vision of how these principles empower both students and educators.
In March, Chambliss presented a workshop on “Getting Your Book Published” at the Midwest Sociological Society (MSS) annual meeting in Chicago. More recently, he was a guest of Le Moyne College’s Social Science Seminar where he discussed “How Ordinary People Accomplish Extraordinary Things.”
